TOPIC: VitaBook at Transifex

VitaBook at Transifex 6 years 4 months ago #1

To make it easier to manage all translations of VitaBook, we've decided to make a Transifex project for VitaBook.

You can find the translations of VitaBook here: https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/VitaBook-JoomVita/.

If you want to contribute to VitaBook by translating the component, you are more than welcome to request a language or join a language team!

When the translation of a language is complete for the current version of VitaBook we'll make/update the translation installation package of that language. Installation packages for languages are available for download from the VitaBook downloads page.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi! I have added a romanian translation for the front-end of VitaBook, but my problem now is that i don't know how to change (switch) the language. I'm using Joomla 3.x, and i don't know how to set VitaBook a specific language. I'm sure it's a dumb question, surely it's a very simple thing to do, but i can't figure it out :( How do i switch the language for VitaBook ?

You can't switch the language for VitaBook. You either switch the language for the whole website via the language manager in the backend, or you set the language at a per user basis in the profile of the user.

I'm stil a bit confused... I installed a romanian language pack for joomla 3.x and i selected it as the default language for my frontend. At least for now there are no other users except me, but my joomla strings appear in romanian (front-end), while joomvita vitabook still appears in english. How can i make VitaBook show it's front-end in romanian ?

Sorry for my dumbness...

Turns out it was an error on my end, the Romanian translations were called ro-Ro where they should've been named ro-RO.

Most server systems are case sensitive, but my Mac isn't, that's why during testing this error didn't show up :pinch:.

I've released 2.1.3 with the fixed language files, so a simple update should end your troubles.

Just for the information - Estonian translation is updated to version 2.2.0
Done 100%

I also did made some comments in Transifex - there seems to be some typos in English texts. ;)

Thanks!

Also for the English corrections, we seem to have mixed a little Dutch into our English strings. It's corrected now and will be included in the next update. :)
